Formation Finish 2010

Topcats Racing are pleased to announce a full 12 driver line up for this year’s Silverstone Britcar 24hr Race on 1st and 2nd October.

The team are running 3 cars again this year in the top 3 categories of the endurance race. The Runnymede Homes Mosler MT900GT3 will be heading the field alongside the Class 1 entrants and will be driven by owner, Andrew Beaumont who is back to challenge for the title having won the Britcar 500 race in 2009. He has been busy this year racing classic F1 and was a top 10 runner at this years Goodwood Festival of Speed thus fast tracking him to an invitation to compete in this year’s Goodwood Revival which takes place this weekend (16-18th September). We wish him all the best for the weekend.

Beaumont’s co-drivers for this year’s 24hr race are, Henry Fletcher, a regular and dependable lynch pin in the team; Julien Draper, British GT driver and classic car racer and finally, Freddie Hetherington, British GT co-driver with Draper in a GT3 Ginetta G55.

Our Class 2 entrants and driving the teams Marcos Mantis GT car are, David Upton, Classic Jag racer and previous TVR Tuscan racer with the team; Emily Fletcher, sister to Henry and Ginetta G50 Cup racer; Jamie Orton, a regular winner in the R300 Caterham Championship and finally Neil Huggins, who needs little introduction as he features heavily in most of our race reports.

Our Class 3 entrants and driving the second of our 2 Marcos Mantis GT cars are returning for the second time, all the way from Japan, to compete in the 24hr race. A short biography of their racing careers so far are documented in the last news feature in this site. They are, Yasushi Kikuchi, Ryu Seya, Masashi Kakiuchi and Yosuke Shomojima.

We are very excited to have such an experienced and inspiring team of drivers for this year’s Britcar 24hr Race.

We wish all of them every success!
