Blushing bride, Stephanie Jennings managed to get to the most important appointment of her life with last minute help from Topcats Racing. A beautiful, classic 1965 Mercedes 220 owned and chauffeured by her uncle for the big day suddenly suffered serious engine problems and the owner’s regular garage were unable to diagnose and resolve the problem.
Owner, Nick Warden, called Topcats Racing just 2 days before the wedding in a desperate bid to fix the car in time. Not wanting to disappoint the bride on her big day, the car was collected and the team set to work straight away. It was a not an easy problem to fix. The engine would barely run and it was discovered that the fuel pump had failed. Once it was rebuilt by the team, there was the lengthy process to recalibrate all the fuel settings, which required a great deal of adjustment until they had got it just right.
Luckily, the car was fixed with just enough time to wash and polish the car to a concourse shine worthy of the best wedding cars before the owner arrived, en route to the wedding to take his niece to the church in style.
Topcats Racing would like to wish Stephanie and Sam, the bride and groom, all the best for the future as husband and wife.
