Last weekend’s 2 hour endurance race was set to be a real thriller after Winstanley astonishingly qualified 3rd in the Topcats Racing Class 2 Marcos Mantis No. 35 car overall behind the GT2 Ferrari of Bailey/Schultz and the Morcillo/Cintrano Mosler. The crowd would have undoubtedly been treated to a three way battle for the win; Schultz and Morcillo still put on quite a show in the remaining 20 minutes of the race.
O’Neill and Huggins left their Class 2 rivals crestfallen at the weekend as they picked up maximum points and an extra point for class fastest lap to take them into the overall lead of the championship at Silverstone at the weekend.

Topcats Racing celebrated a spectacular race win at Brands Hatch this weekend and clinched the hotly contested Britcar Class 3 Championship as they crossed the finish line.
Topcats Racing celebrated their Class 2 victory and 2nd overall in the Britcar Championship on Saturday in the 90 minute night race at Brands Hatch after father and son duo Steve and Jonny Hyde stepped up to take over the class lead handed to them by Neil Huggins and Raphael Fiorentino who had both campaigned the whole season but had used up their sponsorship funds after the last race at Donington.
The Topcats Racing team were ecstatic yesterday when all three of their cars crossed the line after a gruelling 24hr race dominated by heavy rain which started in the first half an hour of the race and remained relentless to the chequered flag.
